Bipasha Basu: Actors are not super humans
Monday, August 27th, 2012 5:18:35 by Imran Shaukat KhanThe dusky beauty Bipasha Basu recently had an exclusive interview with IANS, in which she has insisted that it is quite harsh to always expect that an actor will be happy or okay in life. While sharing thoughts with the media, the 33-year-old stressed that actors are not super humans and they also struggle a lot like any other human being.
She elaborates, “Acting is a very enigmatic line. Being a celebrity, people always want to know about your personal life. Who you are? What you eat? How you live? Where you go? Who are you dating? How you breathe?”
“These days, everyone wants to be an actor. It is a fascinating profession and people want to know what happens behind the scenes. And that is the reason so many movies have been made on this topic [The Dirty Picture, Raaz 3 and Heroine],” said Bipasha, who made her acting debut with the 2001 film Ajnabee.
“People are always interested in what you are doing in your personal life. But they forget we are also humans constantly going through struggles with good and bad times both – so it is quite harsh to expect actors to always be okay with whatever is written about them; we are not super humans,” she added.
Bipasha is currently participating in the shooting of Vikram Bhatt’s forthcoming film ‘Raaz 3’, which is a sequel to Raaz – The Mystery Continues (2009), which itself was a sequel to Raaz (2002).
In the film Bipasha will be seen playing Shanaya, a jealous actress whose career is on the downfall. The film, which is slated to hit the cinemas on September 7, will also feature the likes of Emraan Hashmi and Esha Gupta along with Bipasha.
‘Raaz 3’ is one of the most eagerly awaited films of this year and everyone in the industry anxiously wants to see if Bipasha can really impress the audiences with her performance.
