Singapore International Series: Yong Zhao Ashton Chen advances into Men’s Singles semi-final

Series 2012 in Singapore on August 16.
The top seeded Yong Zhao, who remained impressive in the whole tournament, worked really hard in the quarter-final battle and remained successful to overpower Zeniya who was seeded at number 10 in the main draw.
The impressive Yong Zhao was in full swing as he played with confidence in the opening set but could not live up to the expectations in the second game.
However, the Singaporean shuttler proved his worth in the concluding points of final set and managed to finish off the match in three games with a tight score on the board.
The lower ranked Japanese player, in the meanwhile, failed to get a reasonable start but eventually became stronger in the second game and made the score levelled.
Nevertheless, he was not lucky enough to win the ending points in the final set and lost the battle with a reasonable score.
Yong Zhao played with tremendous precision in the opening game. He played with precision and took a reasonable lead until end of opening half.
Singaporean shuttler continued showing his elite skills after the break and easily got a strong position in the match by winning the set with a huge 21-13 margin on the score board.
Nevertheless, it was the lower ranked Zeniya who stunned everyone by showing up his brilliance and took an impressive lead until end of first half.
After the mid-game interval, the in-form Yong Zhao tried his best to narrow that gap but he failed to stop the impressive progress of his rival and lost the game with a huge difference of 12-21.
However, in the deciding set, both players employed all of their skills and remained close until the end of opening half while remaining positive.
After the mid-game interval, Yong Zhao played attacking and positive badminton on court and managed to wrap up the set with a decent 21-18 margin on the score board.
The impressive Yong Zhao emerged as victorious in this three-set final battle with a remarkable margin of 21-13, 12-21 and 21-18.
