Deftones front-man unveils new studio album’s recording complete
Tuesday, August 28th, 2012 4:22:54 by Haris AnsariDeftones lead vocalist, China Moreno, has revealed that the band has completed the recording of their upcoming studio album, and they will be going to Death Valley to record few cover songs.
While talking to a radio station, the band’s front-man stated:
“We’re actually going at the end of this month into the desert, Death Valley we’re gonna go and record for three days cause the record’s done. It’s been recorded, but usually at the end of the recording process we record a few covers, so we’re going to go do that”.
The singer was hesitant to confirm the launch date of the record, despite rumours indicating a October 9 date.
“We don’t have a specific date. We’re actually in the process of having it mixed right now. So we’re actually out here doing these shows and at the end of the night we get some mixes sent to us and we’ve been listening to them. Last night we listened to a couple, so we’re just going back and forth with notes and trying to get them where we know they can be. So until we actually have the mixed record, I think it’s hard for us to set a date”, Moreno concluded.
The American alternative metal band released their last studio album titled, Diamond Eyes, in May 2010, and the upcoming record will be their seventh studio album.
