PTI vows to fix energy crisis by utilizing coal reserves

economic vows will also be controlled through curtailing defense budget.
Asad, along with other PTI leaders, said this while presenting his party’s economic manifesto in a press conference.
Sharing details of their plan to address the energy shortage in Pakistan, the PTI leader said that cheap coal would be used for power generation, which will also help to overcome the circular debt.
He further said that in order to address the gas shortage in the county, LNG will be imported, while only one tax would be collected from small business holders and shopkeepers.
Commenting on their plan to curtail defense budget, Jehangir Tareen said that the Army will also be taken into confidence before making the decision. He further said that with them being in the saddle, the Cantonment boards will
work under the Local Government.
