TTP leader shot dead in Khyber Agency

Peshawar: The banned outfit Tehrik-e-Taliban Pakistan’s key commander, Tariq Afridi was shot dead by his brother in law in Khyber Agency.

Reports claiming Tariq’s death prevailed in the local and national media today. According to the sources in the area, one of the most-wanted TTP leaders was riding a horse and was on his way when his brother in law opened fire
on him, culminating in his death on the spot.

The TTP commander was involved in the kidnapping of the late Polish engineer and was also wanted by police and security authorities for his involvement in several cases of kidnapping for ransom.

Tariq was also reported to be an active member of another banned outfit Lashkar-e-Jhangvi.
