Google set to close TV advertising service

Google has announced that they will close one of its unpopular services this year, telling that they will now rely upon web advertising. However, in this case, they have stopped the system of selling television advertising.

Publicity is the almost absolute power of all income economic, while television is the medium that channels wants for more publicity, so relatively surprised by Google’s move.

Shishir Mehrotra, vice president of product, said in the company blog:

“We launched Google TV Ads in AdWords to bring digital buying and measurement technologies to traditional TV advertising.”

"We have taken the painful decision to close our TV ADS in the coming months and move the equipment to other areas of Google. We see opportunities to help our users to access content on their television screens through products
like Google TV ".

TV ADS, created five years ago, was a service to revolutionize the way to sell advertising on television, as they have done with their search engine Google.

But the service has not worked or became popular ever since and has been a victim of its own success, because Google recognizes the growing popularity of viewing content on different screens, and not just on TV.

They finally decided to close the venture, after closing various services to remain focused on the press and radio.
