Shiyun Pan and Jacqueline Freney occupy gold medals of the Men and Women’s 50m butterfly respectively in S9 category at the 2012 London Paralympic Games.
With his persistent efforts, Pan enjoyed a half body length lead over his following swimmer and hit the wall for the crown of the race by clocking an effort of 29.49 seconds.
He was followed by Yevheniy Bohodayko, who remained 0.70 seconds slower from upsetting the gold medallist and touched the wall with a timing of 30.19 seconds for silver medal.
Bohodayko was traced by Jingang Wang, who stayed 0.56 seconds apart and transpired on the finishing end as third best finisher by producing a time of 30.75 seconds.
Fourth finest spot of the event was obtained by Matthew Levy, who remained nearly one body length slower and tapped the wall with a timing of 31.54 seconds.
Levy was traced by Daisuke Ejima, who stayed more than a body length behind and sprinted his way towards the wall as fifth best finisher by posting a time of 32.88 seconds.
Subsequently, Ferry notched up gold medal of Women’s equivalent event. She remained full body length ahead of her challengers in the race and tapped the wall for gold medal by clocking a nice time of 35.16 seconds.
The gold medallist was traced by Brianna Nelson, who stayed 0.87 seconds away from her preceding swimmer and secured silver medal of the event with a wonderful effort of 36.03 seconds.
Nelson was followed by Min Huang, who remained nearly half a second apart and proved her mettle for bronze medal of the race by touching the wall with a timing of 36.50 seconds.
The bronze medallist was chased by Susannah Rodgers, who stayed 1.04 seconds behind and settled on the finishing blockade as fourth fastest swimmer with an effort of 37.54 seconds.
Rodgers was traced by Ani Palian, who remained 1.17 seconds apart and completed her race in fifth fastest place with an effort of 38.71 seconds.
Furthermore, the winners received medals for their incredible swims after the session.
