Manny Pacquiao-Juan Manuel Marquez 4 almost done

A fourth fight between the eight-division world champion Manny Pacquiao and the current WBO light welterweight champion Juan Manuel Marquez is closed to being sealed, as per today’s report from a boxing website.

According to the reports from boxingscene.com, promoter Fernando Beltran of the Mexico-based Zanfer Promotions has stated that Pacquiao-Marquez 4 will most likely take place on December 8.

While speaking on his inclusion, Beltran insisted that the fight is almost done but he is just waiting for the contract to be signed by the Filipino boxing icon. The promoter further added that he is expecting to have the signed contract anytime soon.

“The only reason I can’t guarantee the fight is [happening] is because there isn’t a signed contract from Pacquiao in front of us. Nevertheless, in the next few hours we will have it,” Beltran told boxingscene.com’s Rene Umanzor and Miguel Rivera.

“I can’t say anything more because I am being conservative, but I can say that it is 95 percent [done],” Beltran said.

The first three fights between Pacquiao and Manual ended up in a storm of controversy. There first fight ended up in a draw and when they met second time, Pacquiao secured a controversial win over his opponent. Their first fight was supposed to settle the differences but it also failed to do so.

Beltran believes Pacquiao needs to settle the score with Marquez and therefore he will not refuse to the fight.

“Pacquiao knows that he needs to fight Marquez in order to regain his credibility. And even more so after the controversial defeat against Bradley; now he knows what it feels like. It is the opportunity to vindicate himself with the boxing world and the opportunity to clearly beat Juan,“ the Mexican promoter added.

Well, all said and done, Timothy Bradley and Miguel Cotto of Puerto Rico are also on the list of Pac-Man but let’s see if he really sets up a potential fight with the Mexican Dinamita.
