Pakistan Women’s Team leaves for Colombo
Wednesday, September 5th, 2012 2:45:28 by Shahrukh SohailThe PFF announced that the side will be travelling to Sri Lanka in order to take part in the Women’s SAFF Cup 2012.
Under the guidance of Tariq Lutfi, the women had been training in Lahore, although their practice matches showed much improvement was needed if they were to have an impact in the upcoming SAFF Cup.
Nonetheless, after making the Semi-finals in the last edition, hopes are high and the players will depart full of confidence from Lahore, where they take a flight to Karachi and then onwards to Sri Lanka.
Pakistan will face Nepal in their opener on September 8 and Afghanistan on September 10 followed by their last group game against Maldives on September 12.
