Bipasha Basu: Kissing onscreen is the worst thing ever; prefers physical intimacy

The bong beauty Bipasha Basu will be seen on the big screen tomorrow in Vikram Bhatt’s much-anticipated film ‘Raaz 3’, which is a sequel to Raaz – The Mystery Continues (2009), which itself was a sequel to Raaz (2002). In the film the actress has performed several kissing scenes with Emraan Hashmi but she says she never wanted to do so.

The 33-year-old fitness enthusiast, who came to prominence with her bold performance in ‘Jism’, says physical intimacy is something she is comfortable with but to do a kissing scene onscreen is very difficult for her.

While speaking on her inclusion, Bips stated she did a kissing scene comfortably in ‘Jism’ because she was in a relationship with John.

“Physical intimacy – it’s something I am totally comfortable with. It doesn’t really bother me. But when it comes to kissing, which for me is very, very intimate, I am very uncomfortable,” she told a daily.

“No, the first such scene was with John, who was then my boyfriend, so it didn’t even register on my mind, I didn’t even think twice about it. Only when I saw it on screen did I go – what have I done! But when the actual scene happened, I didn’t have any problem,” the daily quoted her as saying.

The actress revealed she tried her best to avoid the kissing scene with Ranbir Kapoor in Bachna Ai Haseeno but the director didn’t listen to her.

“Kissing onscreen is the worst thing in the world. I’m OK with lovemaking scenes, but I hate kissing. I tried to cancel the Bachna Ai Haseeno kiss with Ranbir for one month, but failed. I tried to cancel a scene in Dum Maro Dum; I succeeded.”

Along with Bipasha, Esha Gupta and Emraan Hashmi will play the lead roles and apart from Bipasha, Emraan has performed several kissing scenes with Esha as well.

Well, all said and done, let’s see what response the movie garners tomorrow.
