Bipasha Basu: Today I am a refined actor and a much evolved human being

The dusky beauty Bipasha Basu was model before but today she is a popular Bollywood star. However, her journey to success wasn’t a smooth one as she had to experience all the ups and downs during the time.

Bipasha nevertheless is happy because she feels her experiences have helped her emerge as an evolved person.

The 33-year-old bong bombshell, who made her debut in 2001 with ‘Ajnabee’, was dating her ‘Raaz’ co-star Dino Morea but the two parted ways in 2002. Bips then fell in love with her ‘Jism’ co-star John Abraham, with whom she remained in a relationship for nine years.

The actress has given many good movies to the industry and her latest film ‘Raaz 3D’, in which she played opposite to the likes of Emraan Hashmi and Esha Gupta, is again doing an excellent business at the box office. Therefore, Bipasha is happy the way life has shaped up for her.

She said, “Today, I am a refined actor, lived a little more life, have seen a lot, handle situations, not just a relationship, career-wise I have fallen down, come up again. I have had my run of relationship crisis, staying away from my parents for a long time, loans to pay at times I didn’t know how to pay.”

“From 1997 to 2012, I’ve lived a wholesome life, moved from one room to one BHK (bedroom, hall, kitchen) to two BHK sharing with a friend. Then bought a car, but didn’t know how to drive and also couldn’t afford a driver.

“Finally, my friends ended up driving, so I realised there was no point of buying a car. I had a very broken life, yes sometimes broken down, sometimes very strong, so I feel I am a very evolved human being right now,” she added.

Bipasha is now awaiting the release of her first Hollywood movie ‘Singularity’, in which she has played a role opposite to American superstar Josh Harnett.
