President Zardari using media for election campaign: Chaudhry Nisar Ali Khan

Sticking to his stance, Opposition Leader in the National Assembly Chaudhry Nisar Ali Khan once again reiterated allegations against President Asif Ali Zardari.
While addressing a press briefing outside the parliament, he said that the president was using the public money to campaign in the next general elections. President Zardari was also using fake journalists in running the campaigns, he added.
He observed, “I have proof with me. The people who were affected came to me with the proof. I don’t want to name anyone. It includes people from the media, some from agencies as well – the agencies which capture thieves”.
The Opposition Leader said that the president was drawing out money with the help of some people who are posing as journalists, and billions of rupees are involved in this entire game.
He noted, “All I want to say is, that there is a cell in the President House which, under the supervision of Asif Ali Zardari, is siphoning off the money of the people of Pakistan. One particular agency is being used. The money will go into a revolving fund which will be used to campaign in the next elections”.
Calling for an independent audit of the advertisements being run for several government institutions, he said that he had evidences of all the corruption.
The opposition leader said that he openly challenged President Asif Ali Zardari to take him to court if he rejects his claims.
It is vital to mention here that Chaudhry Nisar Ali Khan didn’t level allegations against President Zardari for the first time. Earlier, he also claimed that he had proof that the president was using media professionals for election campaigning.
He had claimed that Zardari was using billions of rupees from the national exchequer for distribution among his favourite anchorpersons before the next general polls.
He had said, “The government has already started channelizing the money and has set a target of Rs8 billion for distribution among the favourite channels and trying to lure leading anchorpersons of independent channels to switch over to pro-government channels on more lucrative salaries”.
The opposition leader had claimed that the president had channelized Rs4 billion up till now and mulling to spend another Rs4 billion in this regard.

Why don’t you go to the courts directly, Or a formal complaint to the Election Commission? Any formal legal action? No, you won’t, because you don’t do this out of good intentions. These are just cheap ploys before the elections. You also know they won’t take you to the court, because once these things go to court; all sorts of skeletons will come out of closets from both sides. Mr. Nisar and his party specialize in lies, and deceit. Over the years they have revolutionized and given new meanings to propaganda, fabrication, and mudslinging. You ask them any question, and I mean any totally irrelevant question, and their reply always starts with President Zardari.
