Jakub Bitman, an upcoming player from Czech Republic, proved his mettle and secured his berth in Men’s Singles battle after slaying Norway’s Marius Myhre in semi-final clash at Victor Slovak Open 2012 on September 8, in Slovakia.
Jakub, who was the underdog in the semi-final clash as an un-seeded shuttler, showed his amazing aggression and remained successful in beating Marius who was seeded at number seven in the main draw.
The impressive Jakub played top quality badminton and remained successful in finishing off the winning run of Marius in three games while working hard for 45 minutes.
On the other hand, the higher ranked Norwegian played well in the opening game but failed to remain focused in the following sets. He could not maintain his focus and eventually crashed out by losing with a reasonable margin.
It was an expected performance in the first set as the higher ranked Norwegian shuttler played dominating badminton without facing any trouble from his rival and a superb lead until the break.
Jakub tried to play attacking badminton to create trouble for his rival after the mid-game interval but failed to put up strong show and lost the first game with a one-sided score of 14-21.
The second was completely different as Marius could not put up strong show on court and remained struggling against his spirited opponent who was impressive in his attacking play this time in the opening half.
The in-form Jakub continued his remarkable performance after the break and remained successful in grabbing the game with a superb margin of 21-15.
In the final set of this semi-final battle, Jakub put up spectacular show by playing attacking game and he remained ahead on score board until the end of opening half.
After the break, Jakub continued playing positive badminton and he ended up the set in a killing way by a staggering 21-10 score on the board.
Jakub showed his aggressive and positive skills on court and sent his rival packing in the semi-final clash with an overall margin of 14-21, 21-15 and 21-10.
