1921 and the cannibalism in Russia

In the spring of 1921, the Russian Ural region Idel suffered a terrible famine which lasted until 1922 due to a drought, poor economic planning and disruption of agricultural production by farmers fearing that sides in the Russian Civil War that
raged at the time they steal the grain.
Over the months the situation became catastrophic, to the extent that current estimates suggest that died that year approximately 5 million people from starvation. That debacle led to cases like the following picture, in which
people in miserable conditions malvivĂan chose cannibalism, especially vulnerable children, to survive.
