Jonathan Dolan sends Adam Hall packing in Men’s Singles semi-final at Irish U19 Open

Jonathan Dolan, an impressive shuttler from Ireland, showed his aggression on court and landed a title berth after beating Adam Hall of Scotland in Men’s Singles U19 semi-final showdown at Irish U19 Open 2012 in Ireland, on September 8.

The in-form Jonathan, who was the second seeded player in main draw of the championship, remained consistent in his positive and winning play and continued dominating all of his rivals to reserve his place in the final.

Irish player was on a different level as he was in complete control of the affairs on court and remained successful in thrashing away his Scottish opponent in straight sets with an impressive difference on score board.

On the other hand, the confused Adam found himself in all sorts of trouble as he failed to match the pace of rallies and also remained struggling to find the gaps. He eventually lost the battle in a lopsided fashion without showing any considerable resistance.

Jonathan played with precision in the opening set as he was in commanding position. He controlled the pace of rallies and forced his rival to work hard for every point.

The Irish shuttler was leading on score board with a huge margin until the end of opening half.

Jonathan remained positive and consistent after the break and he did not show any respect to his rival on court and eventually finished off the first game with a one-sided score of 21-8.

In the second set, it was again a display of Jonathan’s tremendous craft as he played at his best and remained in command in the opening points.

The in-form Jonathon continued playing in the similar fashion. His planned and well executed strokes earned him a comfortable lead until the one-minute break.

In the concluding half, Jonathan remained in strong position and he managed to finish off the set with a stunning 21-7 margin on score board.

Jonathan stamped his supremacy on court as he emerged as the winner against Adam in this lopsided semi-final contest with a punishing margin of 21-8 and 21-7.
