Kareena Kapoor’s ‘Heroine’ working wonders in overseas market

The ultimate diva of Bollywood, Kareena Kapoor, is having a high time these days since her latest film ‘Heroine’, which was directed by Madhur Bhandarkar, is working wonders in the overseas market.

Released on September 21, ‘Heroine’, which is based on the ups and downs in the life of an actress Mahi Arora, has been liked by almost everyone out there, especially by the people overseas.

The movie collected an amount of 7.5 crore at the desi box office and in Britain it registered $78,402 from 41 screens. In the United States of America the movie made $140,000 (it released in 112 screens, and six screens are yet to report the numbers).

Therefore, it is fair to say that ‘Heroine’, which was one of the most anticipated films of this season, lived up to the expectations and saw a phenomenal opening in all major international markets.

Apart from ‘Heroine’, Kareena is also gaining a lot of media limelight for her much awaited wedding with the actor Saif Ali Khan.

The 32-year-old has always remained tight-lipped about her wedding plans but recently she left everyone flabbergasted by passing on a flattering statement in which she said she is already married to Saif and she just has to legalise it by singing a few papers.

She told Daily News, “Listen, I am already married! We just have to legalise it on paper and we are doing that soon!”

When asked what Saif said about her latest film, Kareena revealed Saif doesn’t watch her movies.

She said, “Saif doesn’t watch that many Hindi movies. Jab We Met (2007) was the last film of mine that he watched, and Dabangg (2010) was the last Hindi film he watched! As for Heroine, he is least bothered about the hoopla around it.”

Well, all said and done, let’s wait and watch how much money ‘Heroine’ generates at the end of its first week.
