Bipasha Basu: After ‘Tiger’ Salman Khan people are calling me ‘Tigress’

Bollywood actress Bipasha Basu is on cloud nine these days since her latest film ‘Raaz 3’, which was directed by Vikram Bhatt, has done an excellent business at the box office.

The horror flick, which featured the likes of Emraan Hashmi and Esha Gupta along with Bipasha, proved to be a comeback film for the 34-year-old as she was not having a good time prior to the release of this film.

Bipasha’s performance in the movie got thumbs up from the critics since they said that her character of Shanaya was one of the few worth watching things in the film. The film even cut down Salman Khan’s ‘Ek Tha Tiger’s’ box office collection post its release.

When asked Bipasha, she said she is really happy with the response she is getting. The actress insisted that after Salman Khan people are calling her the ‘Tigress’ of Bollywood.

She said, “Raaz 3D is the kind of hit I’d given up on. It’s the only adult movie in the top 15 list with weekend figures of INR 36 crore. After ‘Tiger’ Salman (Khan), they’re now calling me the ‘Tigress’, and if I get even five per cent of his draw, I’ll be very happy.”

The fitness enthusiast was asked whether if she has plans to appear in another ‘Raaz’ sequel or not.

She said, “I don’t know about Raaz 4, but Vishesh Films, Vikram Bhatt and I are working towards building brand Bipasha. The Bhatts are the best people to take my acting career forward.”

In the end, Bipasha stated that she wants to step in Hollywood actor Nicole Kidman’s shoes someday.

“Yes. I want to get into the space of Nicole Kidman and Sarah Michelle Gellar in Bollywood. Given all the supernatural films I’ve done, Raaz (2002), Rakht (2004), Darna Zaroori Hai (2006), Raaz 3D (2012) and Atma that follows, it should be easy. Though I am yet to play a ghost,” said the actor.
