Will not spare if Malala survives in attack: TTP spokesperson
Tuesday, October 9th, 2012 8:29:47 by Faisal FarooqThe Tehreek-e-Taliban Pakistan (TTP) on Tuesday claimed responsibility for an attack on Malala Yousafzai, saying that they will target her again if she survives.
Speaking to the media, TTP spokesperson Ehsanullah Ehsan termed her a secular-minded girl, adding that this was a warning for all youngsters who were involved in similar activates.
Taliban spokesman Ehsanullah Ehsan said his group was behind the shooting.
He noted, “She was pro-West, she was speaking against Taliban and she was calling President Obama her idol. She was young but she was promoting Western culture in Pashtun areas.”
Meanwhile, doctors at the Military Combined Hospital (CMH) Peshawar have termed next three days as critical for the health Malala Yousafzai.
According to the reports, the doctors have postponed a surgery, keeping in view her wounds that are said to be very serious as the girl was hit in the head from close range. The reports said that a bullet was still in her head and would be removed through a surgery.
Malala Yousafzai was injured along with two other women when Taliban gunmen opened fire on a bus in Swat. Two bullets hit Yousafzai, one in the head and another between the neck and chest.
Yousafzai, who studies at Khushal Public School, was on her way home when the vehicle came under attack on Haji Baba Road. One of the other injured has been identified as Shazia and sources say the third was a teacher.
Hailing from Mingora, the 14-year-old Yousafzai struggled for restoring peace in Swat and education for girls in the region for which she was awarded the National Peace Award by former premier Yousuf Raza Gilani.
When the Taliban had banned education for females in the district, she kept a diary for the British Broadcasting Corporation and wrote about the misdeeds of militants.
Yousafzai also remained a speaker for the Child Assembly in Swat, which works for child rights in the district.
Later on, she was awarded the first National Peace Award by the government of Pakistan on December 19, 2011 for rendering courageous services to promote peace during the mayhem.

What a bunch of cowards. ‘Men’ who have to use guns against a girl who speaks her mind – how pathetic. Are a little girl’s thoughts so powerful that you have to gun her down? Is a free exchange of ideas so threatening?
If the TTP had faith in their world view, they should have faith that they can convince others of it’s worth. Acting like armed murderers underscores the fact that they are corrupt and valueless.
Westerners hope to see demonstrations condemning the barbaric Tehreek-e-Taliban greater than the one’s triggered by cartoons and an idiotic movie. If you have any pride left in your country and Islam, fill the streets now!
