Alanna Bowles and Regan Leong secure gold medals – State Teams SC Championships

Alanna Bowles and Regan Leong secured gold medal of Girls and Boys 200m freestyle in their respective age groups at the 2012 State Teams Short Course Championships.

Bowles went on a rampage in the freestyle event and occupied the crown by producing a nice time of 2 minutes and 00.07 seconds.

She was followed by Lush Stickland, who was 3.92 seconds behind and emerged on the wall as second best finisher by submitting a wonderful time of 2 minutes and 03.99 seconds.

The second position holder was traced by Michaela Hokin, who remained one and a half body length apart finished third in the event with a fascinating effort of 2 minutes and 05.12 seconds.

Subsequently, fourth finest spot of the race was obtained by Lizzie Gannon, who was 0.76 seconds apart and tapped the wall with a timing of 2 minutes and 05.88 seconds.

Gannon enjoyed a benefit of 0.70 seconds over Shayna Jack, who proved her eligibility for fifth spot of the race by submitting a time of 2 minutes and 06.58 seconds.

Afterwards, Leong occupied gold medal of the Boys 200m event. With his impeccable efforts in the discipline, Leong enjoyed a lead of one body length over his closest swimmer and transpired on the finishing end for gold medal by producing a time of 1 minute
and 48.16 seconds.

The champion was chased by Robert Gerlach, who stayed 1.12 seconds apart and proved his eligibility for second spot of the race by touching the wall with a timing of 1 minute and 49.28 seconds.

The second position holder was traced by Lachlan Wells, who stayed 1.08 seconds behind and occupied third position of the race by clocking an effort of 1 minute and 50.36 seconds.

Wells was trailed by Jack Gerrard, who was 0.52 seconds apart and surfaced on the wall was fourth fastest swimmer by producing a time of 1 minute and 50.88 seconds.

In addition, the position holders received medals and accolades for their notable efforts at the victory ceremony of the tournament while the session ended after the conclusion of all swimming events.
