Monday, October 15th, 2012 6:22:33 by Farasat AliMicrosoft puts music to the console and computers. The service is free and unlimited for the users at the moment for an unspecified promotional period.
For those who have the Xbox (67 million units sold since its launch) the service is activated on Tuesday morning, while for computers and tablets will begin next week, coinciding with the launch of Windows 8 operating system.
The week from 22 to 29 October promises to be fantastic week for Microsoft, as they are planning to begin advertising on American networks.
”The launch of Windows 8 is as or more important than historical or exit Windows 95 personal computer. Microsoft goes for all tablets, mobile, and cloud services … content.” Ballmer was quoted
as saying.
As an appetizer, it’s preparing the premier tomorrow on Xbox music service. Zune, the previous attempt to compete with Apple’s iPod, was a complete failure, with hundreds of millions of losses. The
Zune device, which technically had little to envy the iPod, and later came out with a whiff sentenced copy output.
Now Microsoft are holding out for something they have not offered since the start of this century. With their successful live service, the popularity of Kinect console now supported, you can listen to music for
free. If you do not want publicity and advertisement, the monthly subscription fee will reportedly cost $ 9.99.
Microsoft had added to Xbox Live content television and sporting events because a console owner spends 60% of their time on other non-game entertainment.
And within a week, the service will be activated on mobile phones, tablets and computers, but for those with the system that have Windows 8. It will be a way to encourage people to change their equipment. It
will be updated from any device you use: phone, computer or tablet.
The service begins with a catalog of 30 million tracks (iTunes has 27 million) and 70,000 video clips. For next year, Microsoft will bring the service to Apple and Android devices, direct competition, as consolidated
services outstrips them as iTunes or, in America, the Amazon Cloud Player.
