Yonex Dutch Open 2012: Alida Chen overpowers Luise Heim in qualifying round clash

Alida Chen, one of the most talented shuttlers from Netherlands, showed her aggressive skills on court and remained successful in beating Luise Heim of Germany in Women’s Singles qualifying round of Yonex Dutch Open 2012 on October 9, in Netherlands.

The in-form Alida showed her impressive craft on court while playing in the qualifying round and managed to show exit to her rival with a decent margin on the score board.

Local shuttler worked really hard on court and managed to prove her worth against talented German rival by playing aggressive badminton and took 30 minutes to send her challenger packing after a nail-biting contest.

In the meanwhile, Luise could not display a strong performance as she could not maintain her speed all the way and also committed unforced errors at crucial stage.

German shuttler went down to her talented opponent with a decent margin but without taking any game.

Alida was in tremendous form in the first round as she played with tremendous precision and managed to establish her worth by taking a wonderful lead in opening half.

Dutch lady failed to remain consistent in her positive play as Luise also showed her brilliance and stayed close on score board until one-minute break.

In the concluding half, the in-form Alida again geared up her speed which helped her to take the bird early from all areas and she wrapped up the first game with a four-point advantage of 21-17.

Luise geared up her speed in opening rallies of the second game and pushed her rival on back foot.

The impressive German shuttler did lose her focus in the opening half and also did not let her challenger to build lead until the end of first half.

After the one-minute break, Alida played with precision at net and kept her rival moving around in all areas of the court but failed to set up lead as the score remained equal until 20-20.

In the second game, the local shuttler employed her positive skills and on court and score two consecutive points with a close margin of 22-20.

The aggressive Alida emerged as the winner against Luise by finishing off the clash in straight games with a 21-17 and 22-20 score on the board.
