Daiya Seto and Jessica Hardy seized gold medals of the Men’s 400m Individual Medley (IM) and Women’s 100m breaststroke at the 2012 FINA/ARENA Swimming World Cup in Berlin.
Seto remained just one arm-stroke ahead of his toughest competitor and clocked a wonderful time of 4 minutes and 00.12 seconds for gold medal.
His gold winning effort stayed 1.30 seconds faster from Laszlo Cseh, who followed him on the finishing end as second position holder by submitting a nice time of 4 minutes and 01.42 seconds.
Cseh was traced by David Verraszto, who stayed nearly two body lengths apart and occupied bronze medal of the event by producing a fantastic effort of 4 minutes and 03.19 seconds.
The bronze medallist was chased by Kevin Wedel, who was considerably slower from him and surfaced on the wall as fourth fastest finisher by touching the wall with a timing of 4 minutes and 12.73 seconds.
Fifth best spot of the race was obtained by Yannick Lebherz, who remained 2.19 seconds behind and ended his race in a time of 4 minutes and 14.92 seconds.
Afterwards, Hardy captured the crown of 110m breaststroke discipline. She enjoyed a two-body length lead over her toughest competitor and sprinted her way towards the finishing wall for gold medal with a timing of 1 minute and 04.58 seconds.
The champion was followed by Mio Motegi, who remained 1.80 seconds behind and occupied silver medal of the race by ending her swim in a time of 1 minute and 06.38 seconds.
Motegi was trailed by Rie Kaneto, who was 0.14 seconds slower and emerged on the finishing blockade as third position holder with an effort of 1 minute and 06.52 seconds.
Fourth spot of the swim was secured by Sophie Allen, who remained 0.45 seconds slower from her foregoing finisher and settled on the wall by clocking a time of 1 minute and 06.97 seconds.
In addition, the position holders received medals and accolades for their unmatchable efforts while the session ended after the completion of events.
