PM Ashraf pledges to make Pakistan Islamic welfare moderate state

Prime Minister Raja Pervez pledged that they will dedicate all our energies to making Pakistan a real Islamic welfare moderate state and take Pakistan to the glory envisioned by Allama Iqbal.

In his message on the 135^th birth anniversary of the great thinker of Islam and poet of the East, Allama Mohammad Iqbal, he said they will have to rebuild the country over and above our ethnic and political affiliations.

The services rendered by Allama Iqbal as philosopher and great leader of Pakistan Movement are unparalleled and unforgettable in history.

Reawakening of the Muslim nation, modernization of Islamic thought, renaissance of the Muslims of the Sub-continent and the success of independence movement were the ultimate objects of Allama’s political struggle.

On the political front, his greatest achievements were the effective advocacy of the Two Nation Theory and the idea of a separate state for the Muslims of the Sub-continent. He instilled a renewed intellectual and theoretical aspiration among the Muslims of Sub-continent and gave them optimism and courage for attaining independence.

The Muslim thinker advised the Muslims to adopt the Islamic way of life and stressed the need to activate their ambition for accomplishment. The basic thrust of Iqbal’s thinking was to purify the human soul, nation building and establishment of such a social system where higher ethical values are at work.

The real intent of Iqbal’s thinking is that one should dedicate one’s spiritual and worldly achievements to the welfare and wellbeing of the nation. The universal wisdom and message of Iqbal’s thinking is relevant and beacon of light for all ages and times.

Our martyred leaders Shaheed Zulfiqar Ali Bhutto and Benazir Bhutto were greatly influenced by Allama Iqbal and derived strength and guidance from his thinking. It was under the influence of his philosophy that they gave the message of brotherhood and egalitarianism to the nation.

In order to fulfill the dreams of Allama Iqbal, the government of Pakistan Peoples Party has taken revolutionary measures for socio-economic development of Pakistan.
