Prime Minister Ashraf urges nation to move forward for new era of development
Saturday, November 10th, 2012 1:17:07 by Faisal FarooqStrongly dispelling the impression of any clash among state institutions, Prime Minister Raja Pervez Ashraf has said that they should forgive each other and move towards a new era of development and progress in the country.
Speaking to the media, he said all the state institutions are working within their prescribed parameters. He said elements creating such an impression would not succeed in their designs.
“All of us should forget the past mistakes and atrocities committed by the previous government in Balochistan and move forward to achieve the goal of development and make it a developed and prosperous province,” he said.
The premier said the political parties‚ media‚ civil society and lawyers played a crucial role in the struggle for independence of judiciary. He said democracy has been restored after painstaking efforts and certain elements who tried to derail the process failed.

Replying to a question‚ he said actions of the past governments had created sense of deprivation among the people of Balochistan. “We should forgive each other and move towards a new era of development and progress”, he added.
“The people of Balochistan are owners of their natural resources which will be spent on the development and prosperity of the province.” He said the army had constructed roads and provided security to the Gwadar port and other important installations.
PM Ashraf said the PPP government which came to power through democratic process‚ believes in upholding democracy and strengthening democratic institutions.
To another question‚ the prime minister said actions of the past governments had created sense of deprivation among the people of Balochistan. He said the people of Balochistan are owners of their natural resources which will be utilized for the development and prosperity of the province.
He said the federal government was paying attention to education in Balochistan and thousands of students had been admitted to institutions where they were getting free education. The port would be linked with the Motorway and national highways soon, he remarked.
