Nawaz Sharif urges government to take action against culprits in Karachi

Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz (PML-N) President Nawaz Sharif has urged the federal government to take stringent measures to curb the elements who are playing with the lives of innocent people in Karachi.
He issued a statement saying increasing incidents of target killings in the port city have shocked the nation, asking the authorities concerned to use its full force and resources to crush the culprits.
Criticizing the coalition government over its failure to maintain peace and normality to the city, the former two-time premier called for all-out measures to crush the criminals who were giving sleepless nights to innocent citizens.
He said Karachi was the economic hub of Pakistan but law and order situation had been intentionally deteriorated in that part of the country.
He said peace in the port city was very much possible if recommendations made by the Chief Justice of Pakistan were strictly implemented.
He noted, “Although all political parties winning seats in Karachi are part of both federal and provincial governments, they have completely failed in maintaining peace there.” In his view it was the responsibility of all to put an end to the killings and lawlessness in the city of lights.
Praying for the souls of those who have lost their lives in the recent acts of violence in the economic hub of the country, he expressed heartfelt sympathies for the bereaved families. He appealed to political parties, religious organizations, intellectuals, media and civil society to play their role to restore peace in Karachi,
It is pertinent to mention here that 20 people lost their lives to the ongoing violence in just one day (Sunday) in the metropolis where targeted and sectarian killings have claimed thousands of lives over the course of past few years.

I think the up rise in the already fragile situation has arisen due the fact the MQM had declared to hold the Referendum in Karachi. In that referendum they were going to show their might in Karachi. With this show of power the situation has started worsening.The leaders of all the political parties are enjoying life in their luxury houses/flats where as the common man is dying on the road side ruthlessly. I blame all the political parties based at Karachi for this massacre
Now the only solution in my view is that the MQM should cancell the referendum and make move for peace in Karachi with stalk holders
