Fanny Lecluyse and Mehdy Metella secure gold medals: 2012 French Short Course Nationals

Fanny Lecluyse and Mehdy Metella secured gold medals of the Women’s 200m Individual Medley (IM) and Men’s 100m butterfly respectively at the 2012 French Short Course Nationals.

With her immaculate pace, Lecluyse stifled hopes of her challengers in the 200m discipline and occupied gold medal of the event by producing a time of 2 minutes and 12.85 seconds.

The gold medallist was followed by Sophie de Ronchi, who remained 0.33 seconds slower and clocked a timing of 2 minutes and 13.18 seconds for silver medal.

The silver medallist was chased by Fantine Lesaffre, who stayed full body length away from her foregoing finisher and stepped on the victory stand for bronze medal with a timing of 2 minutes and 14.23 seconds.

Subsequently, fourth spot of the race was secured by Isabelle Mabboux, who was 1.80 seconds behind and settled on the finishing blockade by submitting an effort of 2 minutes and 16.03 seconds.

Mabboux was trailed by Adeline Martin, who suffered a deficit of only 1.05 seconds from her foregoing finisher and occupied fifth position of the race by reporting an effort of 2 minutes and 17.08 seconds.

Following that, Metella went full rampant and clinched gold medal of the 100m butterfly. Metella remained half a body length ahead of his following swimmer and surfaced on the finishing end for gold medal by clocking a time of 51.30 seconds.

The champion was traced by Rafael Munoz Perez, who stayed 0.57 seconds apart and surfaced on the finishing end for silver medal by touching the wall with an effort of 51.87 seconds.

Munoz was chased by Jordan Coelho, who stayed only a stroke slower and stepped on the podium for bronze medal by submitting a time of 52.15 seconds.

The bronze medallist was trailed by Romain Sassot, who was 0.33 seconds slower and tapped the wall for fourth position with a timing of 52.48 seconds.

Fifth position of the race was gained by Joris Desmaret, who remained1.01 seconds slower from his foregoing finisher and clocked an effort of 53.49 seconds.

In addition, the position holders received medals and accolades for their notable efforts at the victory ceremony of the tournament.
