Melanie Henique and Jeremy Stravius win swimming titles: French Short Course Nationals

Melanie Henique and Jeremy Stravius won gold medals of the Women’s 100m butterfly and Men’s 100m backstroke respectively at the 2012 French Short Course Nationals.

With her impeccable efforts in the start, Henique enjoyed a full body length lead over her following swimmer and posted a wonderful time of 58.35 seconds for gold medal.

The gold medallist was traced by Charlotte Bonnet, who remained 1.28 seconds behind and transpired on the finishing wall for silver medal by reporting a time of 59.63 seconds.

The silver medallist was chased by Anna Santamans, who remained only half a body length slower from her former finisher and reached the finishing end for third position by producing a time of 1 minute and 00.10 seconds.

The bronze medallist was trailed by Sophie de Ronchi, who stayed 0.02 seconds slower from her former finisher and settled on the finishing blockade for fourth position by posting an effort of 1 minute and 00.12 seconds.

Fifth finest spot of the race was obtained by Armony Dumur of Amiens Metropole Nat., who remained only 0.04 seconds slower from her foregoing finisher and ended her race in a time of 1 minute and 00.16 seconds.

Afterwards, Stravius snared the title of Men’s 100m backstroke. He was just a touch faster from his toughest contender as he occupied gold medal of the event by producing a time of 51.18 seconds.

The gold medallist was chased by Benjamin Stasiulis, who stayed 0.01 seconds slower from his foregoing finisher and occupied silver medal of the race by producing an effort of 51.19 seconds.

Stasiulis was trailed by Joris Hustache, who was 1.34 seconds slower from his former finisher and occupied third position of the event by submitting an effort of 52.53 seconds.

Fourth spot of the swim was secured by Paul Pijulet, who remained one body length behind and hit the finishing blockade for fourth position by producing an effort of 54.38 seconds.

In addition, the position holders collected medals and accolades for their gruelling efforts at the prize distribution ceremony.
