Busanan Ongbumrungpan tames Juan Gu in Women’s Singles first round of Li Ning China Open 2012

Thailand’s emerging player Busanan Ongbumrungpan showed a wonderful performance in Women’s Singles first round when she outplayed Singapore’s experienced shuttler Juan Gu at the Li Ning China Open 2012 on Wednesday, November 14, at Shanghai, China.

The in-form Busanan, who has got elevated skills of the game, displayed a phenomenal show of top quality badminton and overpowered her Singaporean challenger while working hard for 34 minutes.

Thai shuttler was in staggering form as she did not let Juan to dominate the pace of the game and eventually wrapped up victory in straight games with a considerable difference on score board.

Singaporean shuttler, on the other hand, could not show a tough resistance in the arena as she committed many mistakes on crucial stages in the match and lost it without troubling her opponent.

The unmatched speed and attacking shots of Busanan helped her to take control of the pace from the starting rallies of first set.

The speed of the rallies was quite fast in first set and Busanan entertained local crowd with her unmatched craft.

Until the end of starting half of starting set, the in-form Busanan attained a strong position on board by establishing a reasonable lead.

The match proceeded in the same fashion after the one-minute interval as Busanan did not lose her focus on court.

It was a smooth sailing for the in-form Busanan who did not face any reasonable opposition from her rival and won the first set with a superb 21-12 margin on the board.

Juan was once again in all sorts of trouble in the second game as she received a cruel treatment from her rival who was flawless on court.

Busanan entertained the crowd with her unparalleled craft that assisted her to keep pressure on her challenger who failed to produce good form.

The aggressive and positive play in the concluding part of second set assisted Busanan to earn the set with a sound 21-19 total on the board.

The in-form Busanan emerged as the winner in this straight-set clash in just 34 minutes with a dominating margin of 21-12 and 21-19.
