Katinka Hosszu and Camille Muffat grab gold medals – 2012 European SC Swimming Championships

Hosszu enjoyed a slight lead over her closest rival and sprinted her way towards the finishing end for gold medal by producing a time of 58.83 seconds.
The gold medallist was traced by Zsuzsanna Jakabos, who stayed 0.32 seconds slower from her and cruised her way towards the finishing end for silver medal by producing a time of 59.15 seconds.
The silver medallist was followed by Siobhan-Marie O’Connor, who was 0.57 seconds slower from her foregoing finisher and touched the wall for bronze medal by reporting a time of 59.72 seconds.
The bronze medallist was trailed by Emilia Pikkarainen, who remained nearly 0.70 seconds slower and ended her race in fourth place by clocking a time 1 minute and 00.45 seconds.
Fifth spot of the race was secured by Sophie Smith, who stayed 0.09 seconds apart and transpired on the finishing end by clocking a time of 1 minute and 00.54 seconds.
Afterwards, Muffat dominated the playoff of the 400m discipline. She remained prominently ahead of her closest competitor and reached the wall for the title by producing an effort of 3 minutes and 54.85 seconds.
The champion was traced by Lotte Friis, who stayed four seconds slower from her preceding swimmer and stepped on the victory stand for silver medal by touching the wall with an effort of 3 minutes and 58.85 seconds.
Friis was chased by Coralie Balmy, who was only 0.95 seconds apart and concluded her race in third place by submitting an effort of 3 minutes and 59.80 seconds.
The bronze medallist was trailed by Hannah Miley, who remained 0.59 seconds slower from securing her spot on the podium and settled on the wall as fourth fastest swimmer by clocking an effort of 4 minutes and 00.39 seconds.
In addition, the position holders received medals and accolades for their notable efforts at the victory ceremony of the event.
