Jiayuan Chen demolishes Yeni Asmarani in Women’s Singles round-of-16 at Korea Grand Prix Gold

Singapore’s aggressive shuttler Jiayuan Chen played with tremendous precision and reached into Women’s Singles quarter-final after taming Yeni Asmarani in round-of-16 encounter at Korea Grand Prix Gold 2012 on Thursday, December 6, in Korea.
The higher ranked Jiayuan, who is the seventh seeded player in Women’s Singles main draw of the championship, showed aggression in the arena and easily defeated her rival in just 30 minutes.
Singaporean shuttler did not show any problem in round-of-16 stage from her Indonesian rival and remained successful in finishing up this pre-quarter-final battle in straight sets with a dominating margin.
In the meanwhile, Asmarani failed to continue her giant killing run in the tournament as she could not create trouble for her Singaporean challenger and went down against her without putting up strong resistance.
Jiayuan played with phenomenal control in her strokes and managed to control the affairs from starting points of the opening game.
The impressive craft and remarkable strategy helped Jiayuan to put her rival in all sorts of trouble in the arena.
Until the one-minute interval, the lofty Jiayuan was leading the game with a wonderful difference.

The in-form Jiayuan was in incredible control of the game and she did not face any problem in setting up a sound lead until the one-minute break.
The lower ranked Asmarani failed to put up strong show in the second game of this battle as her opponent Jiayuan played positive badminton and wrapped up the set with a reasonable 21-11 score on the board.
The incredible speed and wonderful precision helped Jiayuan to stay in lead throughout the contest and she remained successful in ending up this Women’s Singles contest in straight sets with a spectacular margin of 21-16 and 21-11.
