Germany’s upcoming player Marcel Reuter showed a great performance in Men’s Singles first round when he toppled Marin Bauman of France in a smashing way at the Irish International 2012 at Dublin, Ireland, on Friday, December 7.

The higher ranked Marcel, who was the sixth seeded player in the main draw of the championship, put up stunning show of attacking badminton and he took just 29 minutes to punish his un-seeded French opponent.

German shuttler stared his campaign in a confident and aggressive fashion and he remained successful in stamping his mark over Marin in straight games with a comprehensive margin on the board.

Marin, on the other hand, failed to show his brilliance in the arena as he could not cope up with the pressure and eventually bowed down against Marcel without creating a strong resistance.

The impressive speed and powerful strokes of Marcel helped him to take control of the pace right from the starting points of first set.

Marcel showed that he has attained top quality skills on court and ultimately successful in taking a strong domination on court.

It was Marcel who showed no respect to his aggressive opponent in the first half and clinched a spectacular lead in the game.

After the one-minute interval, Marcel stayed focused in the arena and remained successful in keeping a sound difference.

It was a smooth sailing for the in-form Marcel who did not face any considerable opposition from his opponent and won the opening game with a stunning 21-14 margin on the board.

Marin was once again in trouble in the second game as he faced a punishing treatment from his challenger who was at his best in the arena.

The cracking smashes and spinning net shots kept Marcel ahead of his challenger all the way until the end of first part in second set.

Marin failed to put up strong show in the second set of this fight as his opponent Marcel played flawless badminton and grabbed the set with a staggering 21-14 margin on the board.

The German man remained successful in winning the opening round contest in just 29 minutes by a controlled margin of 21-14 and 21-14.
