Jonathan Roberts and Kathleen Baker occupy gold medals – Speedo Winter Junior Nationals

Jonathan Roberts and Kathleen Baker occupied gold medals of the Men’s 500 yard freestyle and Women’s 200 yard Individual Medley (IM) at the 2012 Speedo Winter Junior National Championships.

Roberts remained prominently faster from his challengers and rushed his way towards the finishing end for gold medal by clocking a time of 4 minutes and 21.33 seconds.

The champion was trailed by Brock Turner, who was 1.40 seconds slower from his foregoing finisher and surfaced on the finishing end for silver medal by clocking a time of 4 minutes and 22.73 seconds.

The second position holder was chased by James Yoder, who stayed half a body length slower from his foregoing finisher and tapped the wall for bronze medal by clocking a time of 4 minutes and 23.12 seconds.

Yoder was followed by Logan Samuelson, who remained 0.23 seconds apart and surfaced on the finishing end for fourth position by posting a time of 4 minutes and 23.35 seconds.

Afterwards, Baker seized gold medal of the IM event. She stayed in a lead of half body length over her closest swimmer and surfaced on the finishing end for the title by posting a time of 1 minute and 56.53 seconds.

Baker was chased by Ella Eastin, who remained 0.40 seconds slower from her foregoing finisher and tapped the wall for gold medal by producing a time of 1 minute and 56.93 seconds.

Eastin was traced by Meaghan Raab, who snared third position of the discipline by touching the wall with an effort of 1 minute and 58.54 seconds.

The bronze medallist was followed by Katelyn Miller, who stayed almost 0.70 seconds behind and settled on the finishing end for fourth position with the timing of 1 minute and 59.27 seconds.

Fifth finest spot of the swim was gained by Katherine Drabot, who was 0.47 seconds slower and surfaced on the finishing end by touching the wall with the timing of 1 minute and 59.74 seconds.

In addition, the position holders received medals and accolades for their notable efforts at the victory ceremony of the event.
