Pakistan lose Mahinda Rajapaksa football finale
Monday, December 10th, 2012 3:13:44 by Shahrukh SohailThe Green shirts were ousted by Maldives in the scintillating show-piece event but they had poor finishing to blame for their defeat.
Coach Zavisa Milosavljevic was far from pleased with the outing, but claimed that such trips were a source of valuable experience and thus it was important to play on a regular basis.
“Our team played excellent football but once again we missed a lot of chances. We had dominated the game and our team was much better as compared to our rivals but missed chances really went against us,” said the Serbian.
“But I am happy that the team played organised and competitive football. We need to further work hard to make progress both tactically and technically,” Zavisa observed.
“I think there should be more international matches and only then the boys will be able to improve their striking abilities and gain experience,” the tactician was quoted as saying to the media.
