Arsenal team news ahead of their clash against Bradford City – Football News

Gunners will face off Bradford City in their Capital One quarter-final clash on Tuesday. Arsene Wenger has announced that an experienced squad will take on their rivals at the Coral Windows Stadium.

Arsenal will feature a line-up of experienced players against the League Two side. However, Olivier Giroud will miss the clash with a back injury. He suffered a kick on his back and has not recovered yet.

Arsene Wenger was quoted in an interview, “We will have an experienced squad at Bradford. We have a good recovery time ahead of the game at Reading on Monday. So we can use the players we want to use. The only new player who is not available is Olivier Giroud. He got a kick on his back on Saturday. He has not recovered and he will be out.”

England star, Theo Walcott, has not recovered yet along with Abou Diaby, Andre Santos and Laurent Koscielny.

However, Vito Mannone has recovered from his long injury and will be back in the squad.

Wenger also gave news about injuries to the younger players. Nico Yennaris is suffering from a back injury while Ignasi Miguel has a thigh problem.

Arsenal conquered West Bromwich Albion on Saturday with a 2-0 score line. Mikel Arteta scored both goals on penalty with the first penalty considered to be controversial. This was Gunners first victory since November 28^th. They lost 1-2 against Olympiacos and lost their top spot in their respective group at the UEFA Champions League. Arsenal also bowed out to Swansea when Michu fired two late goals.

Bradford on the other hand has a better record in their last five matches. They have not lost a match in their last five battles. Bradford’s last victory came against Torquay United in their League Two clash this weekend.
