Only PTI has the capability to bring change in Pakistan; says Imran Khan
Tuesday, December 11th, 2012 2:43:05 by Web DeskPakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) chief Imran Khan on Tuesday said his party has only the capability to build a new Pakistan, adding that the youth would prove their capabilities in the next general elections.
Addressing a public rally in Lodhran, a district of Punjab province, the cricketer-turned-politician said that Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz leadership should change their behavior if they wanted a new Pakistan.
He claimed that the Pakistani youth has decided to vote for the PTI in the next general elections. The chairman said that his party would not make alliance with status quo parties in the elections as their main goal was to attain government instead of serving people.
He stated that that every person in Pakistan wants a change and if elections would be delayed it would create a panic in the country. “Tehreek-e-Insaf will clean sweep in the next elections,” Khan added.
He also said that the PTI would modify the Pakistan’s foreign policy for peace as it would strengthen the economy and spread education in the country.
He said Sharif spoke about reconstructing Pakistan, but it would be better if he first spared Punjab from devastation and destruction, as he actually had a government there. He said Sharif should not celebrate his by-election victory too much.
“I would like to remind him that Pervez Musharraf also won by-elections, but that was the only victory he got,” he said. The same thing would happen to the PML-N, he said.
The PTI chief said that the PML-N would not be able to buy the votes of Pakistan’s youngsters by giving away laptops, tractors and yellow cabs. He said Chief Minister Shahbaz Sharif was an actor and should be in dramas or movies. He said that the chief minister had devastated the agricultural sector of south Punjab and treated the region like a step-child.
Turning to other PTI opponents, he said that if Altaf Hussain really believed that the people of Pakistan were with the Muttahida Qaumi Movement (MQM), he would have no objection to the fresh delimitation of electoral constituencies. Hussain’s objections showed “there is definitely some problem”, he said.
