Kashmir dispute: PM says Pakistan takes pride in indigenous freedom struggle

“We praise the political acumen and wisdom of the Hurriyat leadership in its efforts to highlight the case of the people of Kashmir”, he said while talking to a seven- member delegation of All Parties Hurriyat Conference led by its Chairman, Mir Waiz Umer Farooq called hin at the Prime Minister’s House..
The Prime Minister said that Pakistan seeks to resolve the Kashmir issue on the basis of United Nation’s resolutions and aspiration of the Kashmiri people, a PM office statement said..
The Prime Minister said that the engagement with Hurriyat Conference is a positive development and a recognition of the just cause of the people of Kashmir.
The Prime Minister praised the vision, wisdom and the patience that the Kashmiri leaders have demonstrated in highlighting the cause of the Kashmiri people and assured them that “Pakistan fully stands behind them”.
Welcoming the delegation, the Prime Minister said that there is consensus in Pakistan among all political parties on Kashmir issue. In this connection, he alluded to the appointment of veteran political leaders Nawabzada Nasrullah Khan (Late) and Maulana Fazal-ur-Rehman as chairmen of the Kashmir Committee.
Mir Waiz Umer Farooq thanked the Prime Minister for welcoming the delegation at the Prime Minister’s House and said that the people of Kashmir value the unconditional support of the government and the people of Pakistan.
Other members of the delegation were Maulana Abbas Ansari, Itteha-ul-Muslimeen, Professor Abdul Ghani Bhat, Muslim Conference, Mr. Bilal Ghani Lone, J & K Peoples Conference, Mr. Mukhtar Ahmad Waza, J & K Peoples League, Agha Syed Hasan Al-Moosvi, J & K Anjuman-e-Shari-Shian and Mr. Mussadiq Adil, J & K Peoples Political Front.
Mrs. Hina Rabbani Khar, Minister for Foreign Affairs, Mr. Qamar Zaman Kaira, Minister for Information and Broadcasting and other senior government officials were present during the meeting.
The Hurriyat leader arrived in Pakistan on Saturday on a wee klong visit for talks Kashmir dispute with Pakistani and Kashmiri leaders. They traveled to Azad Kashmir on Sunday and called for free movement of Kashmiris across the Line of Control, which divides both countries in the disputed Kashmir region.

I think now Pakistan and India both wants an end to the violence and uncertainty in Kashmir. Both the countries should realize that this prolonged dispute is gaining them nothing but hindrance to the economic development in their respective regions.
