Kaleem bags four as KRL romp over Wapda
Tuesday, December 18th, 2012 1:13:24 by Shahrukh SohailThe reigning champions comfortably whizzed past the traditional powerhouses and notched his 7th hat trick of the current season.
KRL boss Tariq Lutfi was full of praise for his protégé and claimed that he was showing some of his best football after scoring four times yet again.
“We played a controlled game and the result is encouraging,” said the tactician while speaking to the media.
“Kaleem has learnt a lot and has turned out to be a goal-scoring machine by scoring yet another hat-trick but in reality left-back Mohammad Aadil did the damage as he did a fine job with super crossings,” said Lutfi.
“In the second half WAPDA had started playing with long passes but we did not let them succeed by making certain adjustments in the middle,” Tariq said.
The biggest debate surrounding the U-23 Captain is the lack of goals he has scored for the National Team, which is currently at zero, despite playing for the Green Shirts for over two years now.
According to experts, the local league is simply not good enough and because of that players like Kaleem generally get on the score sheet without putting in any effort.
