Ilaria Bianchi and Ryan Lochte win swimming titles – FINA Swimming Championships

Ilaria Bianchi and Ryan Lochte won gold medals of Women’s 100m butterfly and Men’s 100m Individual Medley (IM) at the 2012 FINA Short Course World Swimming Championships  in Turkey.

Her gold winning effort stayed half a body length ahead of her closest competitor as she transpired on the finishing wall for gold medal by producing an effort of 56.13 seconds.

The champion was followed by Zige Liu, who stayed 0.45 seconds apart and tapped the wall for silver medal by clocking an effort of 56.58 seconds.

Third finest spot of the event was obtained by Jemma Lowe, who remained 0.08 seconds behind and concluded her race in a time of 56.66 seconds.

Fourth best position of the race was obtained by Noemie It-Ting Thomas, who stayed 0.26 seconds slower and touched the wall for fourth position by hitting the wall with an effort of 56.92 seconds.

Thomas was chased by Claire Donahue, who suffered a loss of only 0.08 seconds from her foregoing finisher and tapped the wall with the timing of 57.00 seconds for fifth position.

Afterwards, Lochte snared gold medal of the 100m IM. He stayed slightly ahead of his toughest contender and reached the wall for gold medal with a timing of 51.21 seconds.

The champion was traced by Kenneth To, who was 0.17 seconds slower from his foregoing finisher and tapped the wall with the timing of 51.38 seconds.

The second position holder was trailed by George Bovell, who remained 0.28 seconds away from his preceding swimmer and transpired on the finishing blockade for bronze medal with the timing of 51.66 seconds.

Fourth finest spot of the discipline was obtained by Peter Mankoc, who was almost full body length behind and concluded his race in fourth place by touching the wall with the timing of 52.51 seconds.

Mankoc remained 0.12 seconds ahead of Simon Sjodin, who remained prominent for fifth position of the race and ended his swim in a time of 52.63 seconds.

In addition, the position holders received medals and accolades for their notable efforts at the victory ceremony of the tournament.
