Syed Modi International: Shinta Mulia Sari and Lei Yao storm into Women’s Doubles quarter-final

In the round-of-16, Singaporean shuttlers delivered smashing performance and outplayed India’s Yamini Sharma and Shraddha Srivastava while consuming just 16 minutes.
The top seeded Shinta and Lei, who remained in smashing form throughout the contest, continued their incredible run on court and they did not face any problem in beating their challengers in straight games with a one-sided score on the board.
Meanwhile, the lower ranked Indian players failed to live up to the expectations of their home fans as they could not play positive badminton and remained unable to avoid defeat from the hands of their Singaporean challengers.
Shinta and Lei performed extremely well from the starting points of first game as they played with amazing speed and grabbed the control of the game.
The speed of the rallies was incredibly fast in starting set as Shinta and Lei were in a hurry and they remained successful in building up an early lead.
Singaporean shuttlers did not show any sign of confusion as they remained in complete command of the pace of rallies until the end of first part.
The underdog Yamini and Shraddha could not change things around after the mid-game interval as they failed to play attacking badminton and remained struggling.
On the other hand, Shinta and Lei continued employing powerful shots in targeted areas and eventually took the opening game with a staggering margin of 21-7.
In the second game, the top seeded Shinta and Lei continued playing in the similar fashion as they played with remarkable precision and managed to take a huge lead until the one-minute break.
After the interval, the impressive Shinta and Lei continued their comfortable ride and easily finished up the second set with an incredible 21-6 score on the board.
The in-form Shinta and Lei stayed in complete command of rallies and they easily ended up this pre-quarter-final clash in just 16 minutes with a smashing margin of 21-7 and 21-6.
