Marianne Vos continued her superb form and succeeded during the UCI Cyclo-cross World Cup Round 6.
She took a total time of 39 minutes and 36 seconds and restricted her major opponents during the event, securing the top podium position.
The Dutch rode exceptionally well and was not challenged by any cyclist throughout the race as she sailed passed the finish-line with more than a minute margin over the second place finisher.
Katherine Compton of Team Trek Cyclocross Collective finished 1 minute and 10 seconds behind at the second position, with Sanne Cant of Team Veldritacademie Enertherm – BKCP finishing further five seconds behind at the third position.
Vos is enjoying a terrific term with several top performances under her belt including the Dutch National Cyclo-cross Championships and the UCI Cyclo-cross World Championships 2012.
She achieved the first overall spot at the UCI Women’s Road World Cup, Ronde van Drenthe, Trofeo Alfredo Binda, GP De Plouay and the BrainWash Ladies Tour 2012.
The 25-year-old bagged five stages at the Giro d’Italia Femminile along with an overall victory and point’s classifications win at the Italian race.
The 2012 Olympic Games brought the career’s second gold medal for the Dutch, which she claimed during the road race event.
Vos’ exceptional form was evident during the UCI cyclo-cross World Cup round 6 as she never allowed her competitor’s to get hold of her throughout the race.
Lucie Chainel-Lefevere of Team BH-SR Suntour-Peisey Vallandry, Nikki Harris of Team Young Telenet-Fidea Cycling, Helen Wyman of Team Kona, Pauline Ferrand Prevot of Rabobank Women Cycling Team, Ellen Van Loy of Team Bel and Jasmin Achermann of Team Rapha-Focus achieved the fifth, sixth, seventh, eighth, ninth and tenth positions respectively.
