Katinka Hosszu and Camille Lacourt win gold medals – 2012 Indian Ocean Meet

Katinka Hosszu and Camille Lacourt won gold medals of the 50m backstroke in Women and Men’s category at the 2012 Indian Ocean Meet.

Hosszu demonstrated her stupendous efforts in the race and occupied the crown with an effort of 28.40 seconds.

The champion was trailed by Aleksandra Putra, who remained 1.38 seconds slower and surfaced on the finishing end for silver medal by clocking a time of 29.78 seconds.

Putra was trailed by Christelle Bertsch, who was hardly half a body length slower from her and secured bronze medal of the race by producing a time of 30.10 seconds.

The third position holder was chased by Aina-Estellah Fils Rabetsara, who stayed 1.68 seconds slower from her foregoing finisher and surfaced on the finishing end for fourth position by hitting the wall with the timing of 31.78 seconds.

Fifth finest spot of the race was secured by Florence Damour, who was 0.15 seconds slower from her foregoing finisher and hit the wall with the timing of 31.93 seconds.

On the other hand, Lacourt snared the title of equivalent event in Men’s corner. His exhausting pace placed him in a two body length lead over his following swimmer as he tapped the wall for the crown with a wonderful timing of 24.20 seconds.

His commendable effort was 1.95 seconds faster from Florent Hassambay, who stepped on the finishing wall for silver medal by clocking a nice time of 26.15 seconds.

The second position was trailed by Thomas Avetand, who stayed nearly half a second behind and transpired on the finishing wall for bronze medal by clocking a time of 26.66 seconds.

Fourth best spot of the race was gained by Alann Bobe, who remained 0.02 seconds slower from his foregoing finisher and clocked an effort of 26.68 seconds.

Bobe was trailed by Pierre-Yves Desprez, who was more than half a body length behind and transpired on the finishing blockade for fifth place by clocking an effort of 27.23 seconds.

In addition, the position holders received medals and accolades for their notable forms after the race.
