Campeonato Autonomico Sub 19: Paula Urra-David Manzano defeat Mª Puy Iriberri-Jorge Valencia

Paula Urra and David Manzano, the aggressive shuttlers from Spain, showed their supremacy in the arena as they defeated Mª Puy Iriberri and Jorge Valencia in Mixed Doubles contest at Campeonato Autonomico Sub 19-NAV-Estella on Wednesday, December 2, in Spain.

The impressive Paula and David, who were remarkable in their performance throughout the championship, continued their winning run and easily overpowered Iriberri and Jorge by taking just 21 minutes in the arena.

Paula and David were in commanding position on court as they did not let their rivals find a good flow at any stage and easily wrapped up a decent victory in straight games with a dominating margin on score board.

On the contrary, Iriberri and Jorge tried their best to elevate their play throughout the battle especially in the concluding points but failed to maintain their rhythm in the ending points and eventually lost the match without winning any set.

It was a nail-biting contest in the opening rallies when both sides showed a wonderful display of their attacking skills and no one could occupy the driving seat.

However, Paula and David started to dominate the pace of rallies by playing with staggering precision and managed to stay ahead until the one-minute interval.

After the one-minute break, the aggressive Paula and David continued putting up strong show while playing aggressive badminton and managed to stretch their lead.

The in-form Paula and David were calm and composed in the arena as they did not take pressure at any stage and finished up the first game with a decent 21-17 score on the board.

In the second game of this Mixed Doubles clash, Paula and David did not lose their focus at any stage and remained in complete command of rallies until the one-minute break where they set up a huge lead.

After the mid-game interval, the impressive Paula and David continued their comfortable run and easily grabbed the game with a striking margin of 21-15.

Paula and David emerged as the winners in this Mixed Doubles battle in a dictating fashion with a convincing 21-17 and 21-15 score on the board.
