9 PCN-Sub 13 y Sub 17-A Estrada: Manuel Brea beats Ivan Darriba in Men’s Singles quarter-final

Manuel Brea, who is one of the most aggressive shuttlers in the younger lot of Spain, played with remarkable precision and thrashed Ivan Darriba in Men’s Singles U17 quarter-final at 9 PCN-Sub 13 y Sub 17-A Estrada on Thursday, January 3, in Spain.

The third seeded Manuel, who remained aggressive and positive throughout the championship, was at his best as he played with remarkable speed in the quarter-final clash and easily overpowered Darriba in just 17 minutes.

The well directed smashes and net killings kept Manuel ahead of his opponent all the way until the one-minute interval in second game.

Darriba failed to put up strong show in the second set of this fight as his challenger Manuel played positive badminton and clinched the game with an unbelievable margin of 21-6.

The impressive Manuel emerged as the winner in this straight-set quarter-final clash against Darriba with a striking 21-18 and 21-6 score on the board.
