Sania Mirza and Shoaib Malik to feature in Nach Baliye 5

Sania Mirza, Indian tennis heartthrob, who had broken a million hearts by running off and marrying Pakistan’s famous and good looking cricketer Shoaib Malik a few years ago, is all set to make a comeback in her home country with her maiden television appearance on ‘Nach Baliye’. Her husband, Malik, will be joining her on the dance floor, and it will be lovely to see this cross-country couple match steps.

At the press conference at Filmistan on Wednesday, we caught up with the duo. They looked like a fairytale couple; she in a stunning lace pink gown and he in a smart black tuxedo. We were reminded of those perfect figurines that adorn wedding cakes!

Sania and Shoaib, who fought against all kinds of opposition and tied the knot in April 2010, consider their differences to be the binding force in their marriage. Sania said, here at the ‘Nach Baliye’ press con, “We are very different as individuals and I think that works for us. The only thing that is common between us is that we both hate getting up early in the morning. Whether it is shopping or food habits we are very different from each other and as they say opposite attracts.”

Shoaib was quick to add, “I think the most important thing for any marriage to work is that one should be flexible and I think we both have that quality.”

Sania and Shoaib will be seen showcasing their dancing talent as the celebrity guest couple of ‘Nach Baliye’.  When quizzed about Shoaib’s dancing skills, Sania quipped, “Shoaib is a very good dancer as he loves dancing. I think when you love something you automatically become good at it. But I am little shy and I’ve always said that I have two left feet.”

We asked the celebrity duo what attracted them to this particular dance show, and they said, “The idea appealed to us and also we were getting a chance to spend some quality time together. Everything worked out for Nach Baliye and it is one of the biggest dance reality shows so we are happy and proud to be a part of it. I love dancing on Bollywood music; I am totally a Bollywood buff. But it totally depends on our choreographers whatever steps and dance form they want us to do we will be ready to try it.”
