Jaffar in fine form once again as Army beat Navy

The veteran goalkeeper thwarted Navy after putting in a superb display in the Pakistan Premier League during Army’s 2-0 win.

After shining against PIA, Pakistan star Jaffar Khan was clearly in a class of his own and carried that form into the game against Navy.

With a penalty stop and an all round credible display, the shot stopper  was rightfully in a good mood as he reflected back on the tie while talking to reporters.

“The referee gave a wrong penalty but thanks God I was able to avert it. I think our team played really well today. If we went on in the same style we could finish at the second spot,” said Jaffar while speaking to the media.

In other news, HBL and WAPDA played out an entertaining 2-2 draw, with Bankers’ boss Yousuf Khan claiming that his side to have to improve in the coming weeks.

“It was a tough match. We had finished ninth in the last season but this time we expect to end slightly better but for that we will have to spring surprise against KRL in our last show,” Yousuf was quoted as saying while speaking to the media.

Meanwhile, KRL are only one point away from clinching the title and if they overcome or even draw against NBP, then they could be crowned winners of the Premier League.
