Katinka Hosszu and Florent Hassambay secure gold medals – 2012 Indian Ocean Meet

With her astounding pace, Hosszu remained in a considerable lead over her challengers and tapped the wall with the timing of 2 minutes and 28.52 seconds.
The gold medallist was chased by Geraldine Huffner, who stayed almost three seconds behind and touched the wall for silver medal with an effort of 2 minutes and 31.75 seconds.
The silver medallist was followed by Rachel Mussard, who stayed considerably slower from her foregoing finisher and cruised her way towards the finishing end for bronze medal by submitting a time of 2 minutes and 48.73 seconds.
Fourth best spot of the event was secured by Maud Fuchs, who remained nearly 5.50 seconds away from upsetting her former finisher and transpired on the finishing end for fourth best place by touching the wall with the timing of 2 minutes and 54.31 seconds.
Subsequently, the audience saw gruelling efforts of Tatianavalona Andrianivohery, who proved her eligibility for fifth best place in the final round as she clocked a timing of 3 minutes and 02.81 seconds.
On the other hand, Hassambay secured the title of butterfly discipline in Men’s corner. His commendable pace placed him considerably ahead of his challengers from the start as he sprinted his way towards the finishing end for gold medal with an effort of 55.45 seconds.
The champion was followed by Kevin Lucian, who was 1.45 seconds slower from his foregoing finisher and posted an effort of 56.90 seconds for silver medal.
The silver medallist was chased by Julien Bayle, who remained only 0.04 seconds slower and touched the wall for bronze medal by producing an effort of 56.94 seconds.
Fourth finest spot of the race was gained by Aurelien Aubras, who was 1.92 seconds behind and surfaced on the finishing end with the timing of 58.86 seconds.
Aubras was traced by Jereme Dijoux, who was more than half a body length behind and ended fifth in the race by touching the wall with the timing of 59.50 seconds.
Furthermore, the position holders received awards and accolades for their commendable efforts at the victory ceremony of the tournament.
