Darren Chan Chin Wah and Camille Lacourt win gold medals – 2012 Indian Ocean Meet

Darren Chan Chin Wah and Camille Lacourt won gold medals of the Men’s 200m breaststroke and 50m backstroke at the 2012 Indian Ocean Meet in St. Paul, Reunion.

With his notable pace, he stayed prominently ahead of his closest swimmer and surfaced on the finishing end for gold medal by touching the wall with an effort of 2 minutes and 23.98 seconds.

The champion was traced by Mamitina Ramanantsoa Tsilavina, who was two and a half body lengths slower from his former finisher and secured silver medal of the race by clocking a time of 2 minutes and 26.49 seconds.

The silver medallist was trailed by Dimitri Faubourg, who stayed 2.08 seconds slower and emerged on the finishing end for third position by producing an effort of 2 minutes and 28.57 seconds.

Fourth best spot of the race was gained by Mathieu Bachman, who stayed almost three seconds behind and tapped the wall with the timing of 2 minutes and 31.70 seconds.

Fifth finest position of the event was obtained by Nathan Mandere, who stayed 2.29 seconds behind and transpired on the finishing end with the timing of 2 minutes and 33.99 seconds.

On the other hand, Lacourt occupied gold medal of the backstroke discipline. His astonishing pace placed him in a two body length lead over his following swimmer as he tapped the wall for the crown with a wonderful timing of 24.20 seconds.

His exhausting effort stayed 1.95 seconds faster from Florent Hassambay, who stepped on the finishing wall for silver medal by clocking a nice time of 26.15 seconds.

The second position holder was chased by Thomas Avetand, who was nearly half a second behind and transpired on the finishing wall for bronze medal by clocking a time of 26.66 seconds.

Fourth best spot of the race was secured by Alann Bobe, who remained 0.02 seconds slower from his foregoing finisher and clocked an effort of 26.68 seconds.

In addition, the position holders received medals and accolades for their notable efforts at the victory ceremony of the event.
