Series of blasts in Quetta, Swat kill 75, injure over 100

Nearly 53 people were killed in three blasts in Quetta, police said. Police sources said that one was suicide attack.
Two blasts rocked the city in few minutes, killing 42 people and injuring over 80, police and doctors said.
Police said that the blast ripped through a snooker club on Alamdar Road.
When the media and the police teams arrived at the scene, another blast occurred. The injured were taken to civil and military hospitals.
No group claimed responsibility for the three blasts.
Hours earlier, a bomb attack killed 11 people including several security personnel.
According to initial reports, the target of the first attack was a check post of the paramilitary force in Quetta, the capital of Balochistan, in a crowded area, the city’s police chief said.
Several vehicles including a vehicle of law enforcement agency and food stalls were badly damaged in the explosion.
The injured included at least four Frontier Corps (FC) personnel and the explosion damaged shops and buildings in the area. The injured were shifted to the city’s main hospital. Several injured were registered critical.
Police chief, Mir Zubair Mehmood confirmed 11 deaths, saying that some 35 people include law enforcers, women and children sustained injuries in the blast.
Meanwhile, a deadly blast in a religious gathering in Swat on Thursday killed at least 22 people and injured nearly 70 others, police said.
The explosion took place at the main preaching centre in the outskirts of Mingora, a main city in Khyber Pakhtoonkha province.
The police have now confirmed that it was a bomb blast. Earlier the security officials termed the incident as a gas cylinder explosion.
According to eyewitnesses, people were getting ready for their preaching session when the blast took place.
Witnesses said that after the explosion, people started running frantically while some ran to the spot of the explosion to rush the injured to the hospital.
The blast took place at a time when people had gathered in the center as part of their routing gathering and were offering evening prayers.
