Estonian International 2013: Kai Schaefer tames Victor Svendsen in Men’s Singles first round

Germany’s upcoming player Kai Schaefer found a good start in Men’s Singles first round where he defeated Denmark’s Victor Svendsen in a dominating fashion at Yonex Estonian International 2013 on Friday, January 11, in Estonia.

The impressive Schaefer played with terrific speed and precision throughout the battle and consumed just 35 minutes to outplay his Danish challenger in straight games.

German man was at his best form on court as he did not miss any chance to construct lead and easily thrashed Svendsen in straight sets with a crushing margin on the score board.

On the other hand, Svendsen could not produce better form as he remained struggling throughout the match. He failed to cope up with the incredible speed of his challenger and lost this first round battle without winning any game.

Schaefer played with outstanding control in his strokes and managed to control the affairs from initial rallies of the opening set.

The unmatched variations in Schaefer’s shots helped him to maintain his supremacy against his Danish rival in the arena.

German shuttler was in remarkable form and stayed ahead on the score board all the way. He built a wonderful lead until the one-minute interval in the opening set.

After the mid-game break, Schaefer stayed focused in the arena and remained successful in maintaining a comfortable gap.

Schaefer was quite calm and composed on court as he did not take pressure and finished up the opening game with a one-sided 21-11 margin on the score board.

In the following set, Schaefer played with comfortable speed without sparing any room for Svendsen to find a good flow.

The perfectly executed smashes and wonderful net play kept Schaefer ahead of his rival all the way until the end of first part in second game.

Schaefer continued putting up sound show in the ending half of second game and remained successful in winning the set with a reasonable 21-17 total on score board.

The in-form Schaefer emerged as the winner in this Men’s Singles battle in straight sets in just 35 minutes by a spectacular margin of 21-11 and 21-17.
