Gao Huan gains access to main round of 2013 Malaysia Open

He was up against a compatriot shuttler Chen Yuekun and their meeting took place in the local badminton arena of Kuala Lumpur.
Gao Huan employed all of his brilliance and experience in the game and sealed a splendid straight-set victory with 21-13 and 21-13 margin.
On the other hand, Chen Yuekun failed to employ an effective counterattack strategy and crashed out of this prestigious event.
The victorious Chinese player laid foundation of his supremacy straight away in the beginning as he did not give his challenger enough time to get settled.
Gao Huan played with an authoritative approach and kept his competitor at the lower end all the way to game point situation.
He maintained a significant difference of eight points and wrapped this segment of the showdown with an impressive result of 21-13.
This timely win boosted his confidence and he played with even more precision in second set of the match.
Though, Chen Yuekun made every effort to survive this crucial game but luck was not on his side. He took a great start and it was felt that he will take this contest into third set but then Gao Huan struck hard and bagged this valuable match point with 21-13 score on the board.
Now he will lock horns with Alamsyah Yunus of Indonesia in the main round of Malaysia Open.
